Welcome to the WATonomous family!

You have been chosen to be a part of a team of ambitious undergraduates trying to do what has never been done before. Your soft skills, technical skills, passion, and ambition have convinced us that you want to take it to the next level. The thought of the challenge excites you, and propels you to crave knowledge, experimentation, and the feeling of success. You are a part of a team that is representing 1 of only 8 schools in North America selected to participate in the prestigious SAE AutoDrive Challenge. That's right. You are now a part of the only student design team at the University of Waterloo to be developing a fully autonomous vehicle, and you envision WATonomous at the University of Waterloo being the #1 winning team.

At WATonomous, everybody is equal. Being selected to be a Core Member of WATonomous means that you are the one that is going to make the autonomous car reality come to life. We wouldn't be able to do this without you. Your enthusiasm, hard work, and being a team player, will be essential in taking us there. We are all in this together, and together we will learn and grow to our maximum potential.

Important Onboarding tasks

Accessing WATonomous Confluence

In order to access the links below, you will need to log into WATonomous Confluence. You should use the initial login credentials in your acceptance email, unless you already reset your initial password using the email in your @watonomous.ca email address.

We have lots in store for the Year 3 Competition Cycle, but first, we need you to connect to our platforms and get you affiliated with the team.

First meeting

The WATO W20 Term Kickoff Event will happen online soon. Monitor the #announcements and #F20-kickoff channels on Discord for updates. It is tentatively scheduled for January 16th.

We will be going over what the Onboarding Development Cycle (the first 2 weeks of the term) looks like, our term goals at a high level, and of course getting to know each other!
