The Drive Crew consists of the members who will be responsible for the biweekly test track visits. The Drive Crew is not necessarily a team itself, but a collection of members whose secondary responsibilities are related to test track visits.
Members of the Drive Crew consists of:
Crew Member
General crew members from all Divisions who have pledged their
dedication to making our Track Days a success from an
Electrical/Mechanical perspective.
Track Coordinators
The Track Coordinators will be responsible for all logistics of the test
track visits, including procurement of necessary materials, logistics,
funding, safety, and transportation.
Safety Drivers
Safety Drivers are all WATO team members who are qualified to drive the
vehicle who have taken the GM safety driver training. Safety Drivers
are the only people allowed to ever drive the car in any
circumstances.
Pipeline Operators
Pipeline Operators will be responsible for integrating their work with
the car and operating the car from the passenger seat.
SDC Vehicle Drivers
SDC Vehicle Drivers are all WATO team members who have gained approval
to use the SDC Vehicles. Instructions about how to get approved are
in SDC Vehicle Driver and Tow
Training.
SDC are responsible for driving the SDC's Chevy Silverado to and from the Test Track, transporting testing materials (e.g. Traffic Lights and Signs).
