[ Knowledge Base : GSuite Shared Drives User Guide ]

Created by [ Rowan Dempster], last modified on Dec 27, 2019

Basic Info

WATonomous no longer uses a shared Google Drive Folder to hold our Google cloud files, we use our new GSuite Shared Drives now! All documents from the old WATO Drive Folders have been copied and migrated over to the Shared Drives.

To access the shared drive, simply go to https://drive.google.com/ and click on Shared Drives on the the left side menu.

Google's full documentation about GSuite Shared Drives can be found here: https://support.google.com/a/answer/7212025?hl=en

The different Shared Drives

Currently, WATonomous has four Shared Drives:

WATonomous Photo and Video Library

[WATonomous uses the WATonomous Photo and Video Library shared drive to store all "Marketing" photos and videos. Marketing photos are ones that we want to show off and maybe hang up on our wall. Non-Marketing photos are ones that we would not want to show off, like thousands of neural network training frames. We ]do not[ store Non-Marketing photos in the photo library, those go in WATonomous Team Drive]

[Everyone can see and edit the Photo and Video Library.]

[WATonomous Team Drive]

[Everyone can see and edit the WATonomous Team Drive. All files that are not sensitive should be stored in this Shared Drive.]

[WATonomous Leads Drive]

[Only the leadership team can see and edit the WATonomous Leads Drive. We put sensitive files (e.g. Candidate Resumes, promotion lists) in the Leads Drive.]

[WATonomous Admin Drive]

[Only WATO team admins (e.g. team captains, advisors) can see and edit the Admin Drive. We put secret information (e.g. password sheets, not for profit filings) in the Admin Drive. ]
