Obstacles to be encountered at Mcity for year 2:
We need to exhaustively create computer vision based NN models to detect and classify these objects. Lidar would only detects the presence and pose of an obstacle but is unable to classify it. Classification the obstacle type is important because the vehicle reacts differently (e.g pedestrians vs cyclists).
